The Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances – Additional Pesticides Subject to Transport Restrictions) Safe Work Instrument 2021 adds a pesticide to regulation 13.15.
Regulation 13.15 in the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017 (the Regulations) requires a person who transports a pesticide in a vehicle must ensure the pesticide is contained in:
- a sealed, unopened sachet, or
- an airtight container.
A class 6.1 pesticide is required to comply with regulation 13.15 when specified in a relevant safe work instrument. This safe work instrument specifies that persons who use Hercon Vaportape II Insecticidal Strips must comply with regulation 13.15.
This means the following substances must be contained when transported in a vehicle:
