Town & Country Wood Supplies is a wood processing business. On the day of the accident, an employee was standing in front of the splitter black of one of the wood splitting machines. He reached in to clear a blockage with his left hand. The blade was operating in automatic mode and on its downward stroke it amputated the employee’s left hand.
