An investigation carried out by a local inspector found that a rope light fitting had sustained mechanical damage causing the sound equipment to become live. The fitting was immediately replaced and further work has been recommended to the property owner. The remedial work was completed with an upgrade on the safety systems throughout the hall.
The injured person made a full recovery with no on-going side effects.
