The dishwasher was in use for approximately three years, and the cause of the fire was allegedly due to a malfunction in the motor. 

WorkSafe Energy Safety was unable to determine the correct model of the dishwasher, and sought assistance from the importer of the dishwasher to help properly identify the model type and age range. No response was received from the importer.

Without this further information being provided to Energy Safety, the case was closed and the investigation did not proceed further.
