PCBUs that provide accommodation for their workers may have health and safety obligations.

PCBUs from all industries must maintain worker accommodation so that workers are not exposed to health and safety risks from that accommodation.

But this only applies if:

  • you own, manage or control the accommodation and
  • your workers need to occupy the accommodation for work purposes because no other accommodation is reasonably available.
