Upon investigation, FENZ identified the root cause of the incident as originating from the outdoor unit of the heat pump.

The insurance company carried out a further investigation and confirmed that an electrical failure had occurred within the electrical components of the compressor housing.

WorkSafe Energy Safety could not determine the exact cause of this failure, after a site visit, due to the extent of the damage.
