August 2013: More than 350 people in the construction industry attended a trade breakfast hosted by MBIE’s Canterbury Rebuild Health and Safety Programme team
Introduction
Programme Director Kathryn Heiler says the session was held in response to a strong demand.
“Our inspectors were telling us that many people in the construction industry wanted more information about how to work safely on residential roofs,” Ms Heiler says.
“They also wanted more information on our approach to inspecting and enforcing work at height.”
